Procurement Officer – Real Estate

Beach Baker is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join a leading Commercial Real Estate Consultancy. This person will report to the Procurement Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement function delivers an effective and efficient procurement service to the business. This involves implementation of the procurement policy within the company and the management of key contracts and framework agreements.

Key aspects of the role will include:

• Development of procurement processes and procedures
• Managing the onboarding process for new suppliers, conducting all relevant checks in line with company policy
• Maintaining the approved supplier list, including conducting annual supplier checks
• Nurturing relationships with suppliers to negotiate cost savings where possible
• Proactively build, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business
• Identification and implementation of best practice in all areas of procurement management and activity
• Ensuring compliance in all areas of procurement activity
• Ensuring appropriate contracts are formulated and delivered
• Mitigation of risk and liability to the Company and to our clients wherever possible
• In conjunction with the Finance Director and Procurement Manager, providing input into agreeing the annual/regular procurement spend, savings target and key projects with budget holders

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified member of CIPS to at least level 4, and have extensive procurement experience, preferably within a Real Estate / Facilities Management environment. They should also have a strong commercial acumen, understanding of contract law and be experienced in production of structured documentation such as tenders, contracts, framework agreements, pricing schedules, etc. They will need the ability to interact & influence at a senior level, with excellent communication skills.
