Posted on: 21/04/2017 ~ Company:

A great opportunity has arisen with a leading consultancy in London for a planner or senior planner to join an expanding planning team. You will be joining a large, modern, open plan office based in the heart of London’s West End.

We are looking for MRTPI candidates operating at Planner or Senior Planner level needed due to increased workload and planned expansion. This firm have an excellent reputation in the planning industry across the country and offer a great portfolio of clients for you to work with. These include prestigious housebuilders and commercial developers, property companies and also land owners. The work is mainly residential and mixed-use focussed and includes large scale application work as well as strategic schemes and smaller schemes, there is a really good variety. We are working on two vacancies, one specialising in central London work (particularly tall building schemes – for this team you should have central London project experience) and one concentrating on Greater London and the surrounding Boroughs, both offering good variety in terms of projects.

The company are brilliant for promoting internally and a lot of their Directors joined the firm as planners and senior planners, they promote when you are ready not just when there is a space. At this level we are looking for confident networkers and the ability to manage small scale projects independently as well as assisting Associates and Directors on larger scale schemes. The team are extremely busy and have a large pipeline of work ready!

Ideally we are looking for some private sector experience, preferably from a consultancy environment but we can consider those coming from a clientside set-up i.e. a housebuilder or developer, or local authority for the right person. In any case you should have a commercial approach to business and a good knowledge of local planning policies. Relocators may also be considered for the Greater London team if you can show knowledge and commitment to the area and the ability to quickly pick up new policies.

To apply for this role (or for more information) please do not hesitate to contact Ruth Hoggett ([email protected]). By clicking apply, please be assured that your CV will not be sent to the client until you have been fully briefed on the role and given permission for us to do so. We will confidentially retain your details and inform you of any other suitable opportunities arising should you not be successful in this role.
