‘Demand for freehold investment property remains high’ says GJS Dillon

14 The Tything, Worcester

Worcestershire commercial property consultancy and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon has sold the freehold of a four storey Grade II listed office building in a prominent Worcester city centre location.

Andrew Lewis, Associate Director at GJS Dillon, sold 14 The Tything, a mix of open plan and cellular accommodation measuring 2,788 sq ft, for a guide price of £295,000.

The purchaser, Steve Perera, bought the property partly as an investment and partly as a base from which to run his business. Mr Perera, who is a Chartered Financial Planner with over 20 years’ experience, established Britannic Place Financial Management Ltd in 2006. He offers specialist financial advice to successful people approaching or who are already in retirement.

Mr Perera said ‘It has been a long term goal of mine to have an office in Worcester but there is a distinct lack of good quality serviced office space in the City centre. This particular building suits my needs perfectly as it fits the current requirements of my business and gives me the potential to expand over the longer term’

Mr Lewis said ‘ This is an excellent income producing investment.  With interest rates still low, demand from investors for this type of freehold investment property remains high’

‘We have a number of commercial properties to buy and let across Worcestershire and would be pleased to hear from prospective buyers and tenants’
