Infosys Limited, one of the global leaders in technology services and consulting, have taken some 23,000 ft² of offices at Sherwood Business Park, in one of Nottinghamshire’s largest office leasing deals of 2018.

This deal could see the creation of a number of new jobs following the move, with the building having the ability to hold some 300 staff at full occupancy. The company will commence the fitting out of the premises with a view to being fully up and running at the start of the new year.

FHP acted on behalf of Praxis Real Estate Management Limited, the asset managers for the premises.

Mark Tomlinson of FHP Property Consultants, who brokered the deal commented: –

“We had worked for some time with Infosys in evolving their mandate for Nottingham, particularly narrowing down the specific location requirements of the company, both in terms of servicing their existing clients and assisting the recruitment of new talent and I am delighted that Nottingham, and particularly Sherwood Park, was selected.

Credit must also go to Praxis Real Estate Management who pulled out all the stops to meet the timescale and operational requirements of Infosys.”

Infosys are in good company on Sherwood Park joining the likes of EON, Pendragon, Countrywide Surveyors and Kuehne + Nagel as one of the major office occupiers on the park

Invest in Nottingham were heavily involved in the early stages in attracting Infosys to the area, Lorraine Baggs commented: –

“We worked closely with Infosys to help them learn about the potential in Nottinghamshire, identify suitable premises and build relationships with local organisations, and we’re delighted that they have decided to invest in the area and create new jobs. Our thriving tech sector is testament to the talent pool that the region has to offer, and we look forward to continuing to support Infosys’ growth over the next few years.”

NG Chartered Surveyors were the joint agents acting on behalf of the landlords in the deal.

Sunny Landa, Director at NG, said:

“It’s always particularly satisfying to work on a deal that brings employment opportunities to the East Midlands, and so the news that Infosys have taken this prime unit is great news for the area. “Infosys are one of the biggest names in digital transformation and they will add to the tech talent pool in the Nottingham area. It’s been great working with Mark on a deal that has brought about a very satisfactory outcome for our client and all involved.”
