Unit 4, Queensway, Walworth Industrial Estate, Andover

An upholstery business has snapped up a unit on a popular industrial estate in Andover.

Global Upholstery Ltd has taken Unit 4, Queensway on the Walworth Industrial Estate in a deal brokered by the Andover office of property consultancy Myddelton & Major.

Quoting leasehold rent for the 2,564 sq ft (238.20 sq m) mid-terraced industrial/warehouse unit was £13,250 per annum and the company has taken a lease until 2021.

A Myddelton & Major spokesman said: “Global Upholstery is a new business founded at the beginning of 2016 as part of the long-established Stannah Group.

“The company deals with all kinds of seating upholstery – from cinemas, pubs and restaurants to caravans, narrow boats and stadiums – and refurbishment using expertise in upholstery design, material selection and production.”
Queensway is located on the popular Walworth Industrial Estate, which lies on the eastern outskirts of Andover, next to the Ring Road, which leads on to the A303 dual carriageway.

Many well-known companies have chosen to locate within the Andover area, including Britax Excelsior, Guilbert Niceday, Lloyds TSB Life & Pension Investments, Londis, Petty Wood, Stannah Lifts, SSI Schaffer and Twinings.

Important commercial centre Andover is conveniently situated on the A303 trunk road, linking directly to the M3 at Junction 8, approximately 20 miles to the east, and with the A34 north-south dual carriageway.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2016 for the fifth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
