Radstock firm has scope for expansion

A modern, purpose-built factory/warehouse with offices in Midsomer Norton has been snapped up by an expanding company.

Dart Systems Ltd bought Environment House on the Westfield Industrial Estate in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.

Quoting price for the strategically located 4,915 sq ft (456.60 sq m) unit with a mezzanine of 1,821 sq ft (169.17 sq m) was £450,000.

Myddelton & Major Partner Philip Holford said: “Dart Systems Ltd, headquartered in Radstock, near Bath, specialises in the manufacture of specialist camera systems and was seeking new premises nearby in Somerset.

“The company manufactures and distributes a comprehensive range of Industrial endoscopes, borescopes, inspection cameras and pipe and cable installation tools and equipment”.

Environment House – a modern detached factory with offices and a yard with parking on a self-contained plot, purpose-built in 2003 for the previous owner – proved ideal for Dart Systems.

Midsomer Norton forms part of the Radstock/Midsomer Norton area and is 10 miles south of Bath, 13 miles south east of Bristol and eight miles north west of Frome.

Westfield Industrial Estate is the principal employment area in the region, with major occupiers including Buildbase, Dickies Clothing, Westfield Medical, Integrity Print, Woodpecker Furniture, Jones Food Services and Code A Weld.

It has direct access from the A367 Fosse Way via First Avenue and a second access to the south from the B3139 via Charlton Lane.
