Property sector activity prompts further appointment at Bruton Knowles

George Mitchell, Bruton Knowles

Leading south west-based property specialists Bruton Knowles has further strengthened its Plymouth team with the appointment of graduate surveyor George Mitchell.

Originally from South East Cornwall, George joins the fast-growing firm after completing his degree at Harper Adams University and working for a regional practice.

The appointment complements the already successful and highly experienced team which advises on every aspect of commercial property.

A keen sportsman, George has shot for the Great Britain Junior team and swam at national level. With the benefit of substantial local knowledge and a rural background, he is familiar with the region and is already involved in valuations, agency, landlord and tenant and property management cases.

George said: “Given the significant increase in commercial property activity across the country this is a particularly exciting time to be changing from a rural to a commercial focus within the market.

“There are lots of exciting opportunities across Devon and Cornwall and I’m looking forward to working in the very experienced team here in Plymouth with Bruton Knowles.”

Ashleigh Phillips, Associate in the Plymouth office added: “We are delighted to have George on board. His appointment is timely given the Plymouth team’s fast expanding workload and activity in the region’s commercial and residential sectors remains strong despite potential uncertainties from the looming election and Brexit.

“We have made a number of key appointments in the last two years to keep pace with the workload, especially in valuations, agency, property management, lease consultancy and business rates work. We are intending to recruit further high calibre staff to help our growth plans.

“We wish George all very best in his new role and welcome him to the team.”
