Future Comms relocates to The Mill, Royal Clarence Marina

Specialist telecoms provider Future Communications Specialists (‘Future Comms’) has taken a new 15 year lease on 4,000 sq ft at The Mill, Royal Clarence Marina as the business continues its expansion plans. Already based in Unit 4, Future Comms has seen the demand for its bespoke telecoms services increase significantly in the last twelve months, and securing Units 1-3 to accommodate its current and future staff was a key business strategy decision.

Redeveloped by Berkeley Homes, Royal Clarence Marina is a mixed use development in a prime waterfront position. The former Royal Navy victualling yard has been sympathetically transformed and now includes around 700 new homes, business units and offices, leisure facilities, shops and restaurants. Being right on the waterfront overlooking the marina, The Mill is a much sought after location.

Tom Holloway, director at Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell comments: “As joint marketing agents for the scheme, we have been involved with Royal Clarence Marina throughout the redevelopment process and it has become a popular destination for businesses wanting quality space with good access and excellent local facilities. Having let part of The Mill to Future Comms last year, we are delighted to see the business become the sole occupier of this historic building.”

Future Comms director Joe Stickler added: “We have been in the telecoms sector for many years, working with a small specialist team. Having relocated to one of the larger units at The Mill just under a year ago, we have seen the business grow substantially with great staff and an exciting future ahead of us.  To secure the whole building was as much an investment decision as a strategic one. We now have a long-term future base which will accommodate further increases in staff and a great location to work from.”
