Three young commercial property surveyors at national property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) Birmingham are celebrating after passing their final examinations.

Katie Matthews, who works in the valuation team, Guy Sankey, in retail agency, and Harry Lea, in industrial agency, have all been promoted to surveyor after passing their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Adam Ramshaw, head of Birmingham and East Midlands, said: “We are determined to invest in young talent and the success for Katie, Guy and Harry tops off what has been an excellent year for the LSH Birmingham office. They’ve each demonstrated that they have the potential to go far in their careers as chartered surveyors and we are delighted to celebrate this important milestone.”

Katie joined LSH as a graduate surveyor in December 2014 after working as a property manager in the residential sector. She works on a range of valuation work for private and public sector clients and assists in providing valuation and compulsory purchase advice. A law graduate from the University of Birmingham, Katie is now studying for her MSc in surveying through the University of Reading.

Guy joined LSH as a graduate surveyor in 2014, after completing a BSc (Hons) Real Estate degree at Oxford Brookes University.  He works on behalf of key public and private sector clients, assists in disposal/acquisition work, and in mitigating business rates liability.

Harry joined LSH’s agency team in September 2015 from Birmingham City Council, where he worked in the investment management team. A graduate of the Royal Agricultural University, where he attained a BSc (Hons) in Rural Land Management, Harry now works across the greater Midlands’ industrial and logistics market including the M1, M6, M42 and M5 Corridors acting for a broad range of clients.
