School furniture specialist moves to Llandough Trading Estate

Local company First Grade Furniture has moved to the Llandough Trading Estate on Penarth Road in Cardiff.

The company, which specialises in manufacturing, supplying and installing fitted furniture for schools and colleges, student halls, libraries and offices across the UK, is moving from Barry and has taken a five year lease on the 5,433 sq ft Unit 8 at a rental rising to £4.50 per sq ft.

John Hardman of First Grade Furniture, established in 2004, commented: “The new facility represents a phase of expansion and will offer a complete ‘one stop shop’ for our customers. We will now be able to design, manufacture and fit complete furniture solutions for our clients, while using our own facilities and experienced staff to provide bespoke furniture to the education market.”

The property is managed by London & Scottish Property on behalf of new owners Regional REIT Limited, a newly-incorporated regional commercial property company which joined the London Stock Exchange less than a year ago.

They were advised in the transaction by joint agents Knight Frank and Bilfinger GVA.

The estate, which includes 22 industrial/trade counter unit, is prominently located fronting Penarth Road.
