Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge – c’est complet!

Richard Cook of commercial law firm Thrings reports on the firm’s fundraising efforts for Bristol hospital charity, Above & Beyond:

A year or so on from completing the Three Peaks Challenge on foot, I am now in a position to tick off the Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge having made it to the French capital in one piece.

I am very pleased to report that my fellow Lycra-clad colleagues and I arrived in Paris on 3 May after safely negotiating the four-day, 430km route which took us via Salisbury, Portsmouth and Évreux.

As a result of the generosity of family, friends and work colleagues, my fundraising total currently stands at £1,749.49. Cycling under the moniker Team Thrings, my 10 work colleagues and I have managed to raise more than £25,000 – which will make a significant contribution to the £150,000 required by Bristol’s hospital charity, Above & Beyond, to buy a new state-of-the-art cardiac ultrasound.

Once again, thank you very much for your support and generosity – it’s hugely appreciated. And if there is anyone who hasn’t donated but would still like to throw a few pennies into the pot, please click here.
