Leading commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has vowed to keep on investing in talent during 2016 as it predicts Birmingham’s buoyant property sector will continue to boom.

LSH in Birmingham has recently strengthened its expanding team with key appointments including Charlotte Fullard (office agency), George Xydias (retail agency), Harry Lea (industrial agency) and newest arrival Rupert Detheridge (planning and development).

Head of office Adam Ramshaw said: “By investing in talented individuals we are bolstering our excellent team of property professionals in order to maximize our ability to provide clients with only the highest levels of service.

“The appetite for investment and development across Birmingham and the West Midlands is greater than ever and we are predicting that 2016 for the city’s commercial property sector will be a year to remember.

“It’s fair to say 2015 was a fantastic year – with the completion of major projects such as Grand Central and Resorts World, huge investment in the NIA and the Mailbox, and the opening of the new tram system in the city.

“This year will also see a whole raft of exciting developments make progress, demonstrating that Birmingham and the surrounding towns and cities are the driving force as the Midlands Engine accelerates ahead. There are major office developments underway for the first time in years, while huge projects such as Paradise, the new wholesale markets hub at Witton and, of course, HS2 will make significant progress. It is the ambition of the region and the opportunities it presents that is attracting high levels of investment and this will continue during 2016.”

He added: “There is a huge appetite for investment in the region, much of which is driven by the manufacturing sector but there is major interest in retail, offices and residential developments too.”
