Harris Lamb reports most successful year since launch

2014 marked the strongest year of trading for Midlands based property consultancy since its launch in 1992, the business has revealed.

The national business, which services the whole of the UK from its offices in Birmingham, Worcester, Stoke-on-Trent and London, held its 2014 review this week, revealing that last year had seen the company’s financial performance at its highest level ‘by some margin’ and that the expansion of nationwide client business was at the heart of this improvement.

Director Andrew Lamb said that some of the highlights of 2014 had been advising BAE on the sale of its major manufacturing facility in Brough on Humberside for nearly £10m and the advice given on site acquisition and building procurement for major new warehouse projects for clients including Vax and the Freeman Group.

Andrew said that the business’ commitment to retaining and developing its staff through the recession, and the base of substantial occupier companies that Harris Lamb has grown alongside and formed strong working relationships with was at the heart of its success.

“We have always worked really hard at building sustainable, honest and clear thinking relationships with our clients. Harris Lamb has grown from its origins of providing agency and corporate support advice to now providing a full cross section of commercial real estate services.

“We are now established as a multi-disciplinary national practice of property consultants acting across the UK for national and international companies providing a complete property service.

“The strength of our business, our client base, our client service and the results we achieve have helped us develop into a real success story over the past 20 odd years, despite having endured one of the worst recession’s in the UK’s history,” he added.

Andrew said that the business will tackle 2015 head on, though it may be a challenge to build immediately on the 30 per cent increase in revenues seen in 2014.

“Nonetheless, that is our challenge, and that is our aim,” he said.
