Boulevard is recipe for success

A new letting of another retail unit in The Boulevard in Waterlooville, near Portsmouth, in Hampshire, has been agreed with an independent business.

Kingswell Kitchens Ltd has taken unit 21 – the former Creative Kitchens Design shop – in the well-known shopping complex  in the town centre.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major, letting agent for The Boulevard, successfully negotiated the new 10-year full repairing and insuring lease on a £19,950 asking rent per annum.

The lease includes an upward only rent review at the end of the fifth year and a tenant’s break option.

Simon Lee, retail partner at Myddelton & Major, said: “This is another successful letting in The Boulevard as these retail units continue to be taken by independent retailers, demonstrating the return of confidence in the market.

“We are progressing negotiations with other prospective tenants and expect rising interest as more space is taken.”

The Boulevard is well located in Waterlooville town centre as a busy pedestrian shopping arcade linking the main pedestrianised section of London Road with the Dukes Walk shopping centre.

Nearby occupiers include leading national chains Costa, Waitrose, Wilkinson, Specsavers, Halifax, Robert Dyas and O2 as well as independent traders.
