Commercial property consultants Bruton Knowles has been appointed alongside Alder King to market new commercial development opportunities at Gloucester’s Kingsway Business Park.
Formerly known as RAF Quedgeley, the brownfield site has already been partly developed for housing, community and retails uses.
With the economy improving fast leading Gloucestershire developer Robert Hitchins is pressing ahead with the commercial area which will bring new development land to the market.
The key development site is just off junction 12 of the M5 and will provide design and build opportunities for commercial purposes with immediate access to the A38 and motorway network.
Robert Smith from Bruton Knowles said the business park would help to re-energise Gloucester’s commercial sector.
“Kingsway Business Park will offer bespoke design and build opportunities in an attractive landscaped environment. The location takes full advantage of the wide range of local amenities and a skilled workforce.
Bruton Knowles will market the centrepiece of the development, known as Plot 6 along with the Green, a plot set aside for high quality offices. The units will start in size from 3,200 sq ft upwards.
Robert Smith said: “Kingsway Business Park is a sustainable development with excellent connectivity and transportation links for pedestrians, cyclists, road and bus users. New occupiers will be able to take advantage of the amenities nearby by including an Asda store and Tesco Express.”
He said it would provide a major impetus to Gloucester’s recovery and provide jobs for hundreds of people.
Robert Smith concluded: “The new Asda store has already created about 230 jobs and brought a brownfield site back into economic use but this is clearly the tip of the iceberg.“
