Anglo Holt begins work on new breed of car dealership

Anglo Holt Construction has begun the development of a new prototype car dealership, which aims to enhance the buying experience for customers.

West-Bromwich based Anglo Holt was awarded the prestigious £5.5 million contract by project managers Savills following a competitive tender. The site is owned by Glasgow City Council Pension Fund.

The new Jaguar Land Rover showroom for the Lookers dealership chain is located on the Aura 40 industrial site in Acton, London. It has 4,383m2 of space across two floors, with roof-level car parking.

The development is a part of a larger scheme of work comprising the clearance of the site and construction of a terrace of trade counter units, 3,081m2 in size, at the rear of the dealership.

Andy Elwell, managing director of Anglo Holt, said: “The new Lookers dealership is a fantastic addition to the Aura 40 site which, over the coming months, will see a number of developments complete.

“The showroom is the first of a new breed which will be rolled out across the UK, providing a whole new experience to car purchasers.”
