Creative England Extends Business Loans Project to East Midlands

Creative England has announced that it is extending its Business Loans programme across the midlands.

For the first time, creative and digital SMEs across Nottingham have the chance to apply for interest-free loans available through the project.

Due to the success of two previous loan funds, the total amount of funding has been increased from £1 million to £1.5 million, with businesses in Nottingham and across the East Midlands able to apply for loans of between £60,000 and £150,000.

The Creative England Business Loans will help fuel the growth of the fastest growing sector in the UK economy, financing business expansion and new products which will lead to the creation of new, high-quality jobs.

The loans, which must be match funded (50:50) with other finance secured by the company, are repaid over three years and provided by the Creative England Growth Programme, a £4.2 million scheme funded by the Regional Growth Fund.

This announcement comes as Nottingham City Council launches its latest Business Support Directory. This one stop shop provides details of the extensive funding schemes, training and support available to businesses as part of the Growing Nottingham campaign.
Applications for the Creative England Business Loans are now open and will be assessed on a rolling basis.
