Roofing supplies distributor Rinus Roofing has moved its Roof Hub depot in Cardiff to larger new premises in Ipswich Road.
The company has 24 depots nationwide and provides a ‘one-stop’ service to trade and general public customers. It has taken a 10 year lease on the 7,064 sq ft Unit 5 in Ipswich Road at an annual rental of £40,000. Landlord Hunterville was represented by property consultancy Knight Frank, while Rinus was advised by GRM Property Consultants.
Craig Harcombe, southern regional manager for Rinus Roofing, said: “We have outgrown our premises in Bridge Road and looked at a number of larger alternatives but the Ipswich Road unit give us a larger, better option in a good location, with plenty of space for future expansion.
“We managed our operations carefully throughout the Covid-19 lockdown and are now fantastically busy. We will be looking to recruit more people soon.”
Neil Francis, partner at Knight Frank in Cardiff, said: “Ipswich Road runs parallel to Newport Road, the primary access route from east of Cardiff city centre, so provides a great location for Rinus Roofing. Unit 5 is a large trade counter premises with two-storey office block so it fitted the fast-growing company’s requirements perfectly.”
