Town Planner or Senior Planner – Bristol

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner (MRTPI) to join an established planning team within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in Bristol. This firm have a network of offices and you will be an integral part of a national planning team which is a core service for this firm. The Bristol office is based in the city-centre in a modern, open-plan setting and the atmosphere is non-corporate (aided in being Partner-led) and meritocratic.

You will be in the midst of your APC or MRTPI qualified (when you become MRTPI, you will be promoted to Senior Planner). We are ideally looking for planners with private sector experience (consultancy experience preferred). Knowledge of the South West region and local experience is particularly advantageous. You will ideally have a strong academic background, excellent report-writing skills and a commercial and ambitious mindset, along with the ability to think laterally.

In this role, the successful candidate will primarily work within the residential sector on sites based in the West of England, however the team operate across all sectors including commercial, mixed-use, retail etc. The firm are typically brought in to manage the sites through to implementation, therefore you will gain exposure to all aspects of the planning process (along with direct client contact). We are looking for a generalist who is able to hit the ground running with supporting Associates and Directors in small to large scale projects. Successful candidates will also possess strong organisational skills, be hard-working and adaptable, be a team player, client facing and well-presented and ideally hold a full, clean driving licence.
