Senior Technical Building Surveyor – Traditional Practice

A well-known independent firm of regional building surveyors has recently instructed Beach Baker to actively recruit a Senior Technical Building Surveyor within their growing Bristol office.

This firm, established over 50-years’ ago describe themselves as a traditional practice and have a family feel’ working atmosphere and excellent employee retention.

The successful candidate will play a key role within this busy organisation. You will be working with an interesting mix of clients including housing associations, local councils, private developers, private estates and commercial organisations. The workload is mainly on residential/domestic properties providing a full range of building surveying services including project management/contract administration (projects £100K to £500K in value), DDA adaptations, litigation work and general building surveys. There will also be an opportunity to carry out commercial work which is a growing part of their business.

As part of their continued success, a surveyor is now required to help service the workload and help identify and exploit further areas of growth. Candidates will ideally have experience of residential surveys, writing specifications, contact administration, party walls and general inspections. Experience working on disabled/legal adaptation projects would be preferable. MRICS not essential but will be an advantage.
