Senior Cost Manager – No.2 to Directors – Arts, Heritage, Resi

Beach Baker are working with a niche practice based in London’s West End to appoint a chartered senior quantity surveyor / cost manager to act as number two to the Directors.

The successful individual will have the opportunity to work on interesting schemes for eccentric clients such as new build theatres and those being refurbished within listed buildings, galleries, cinemas and more.

A proven track record in delivery is required and our client is searching for someone who is confident / comfortable developing and building client relationships and who wishes to progress quickly. Our client is increasingly busy and having new work regularly called in. Interest in eventually managing a team of junior surveyors would be a bonus.

Our client also works within education, healthcare and residential sectors and will consider those at project and senior QS level. A new client would be a private equity firm that provide fund monitoring services to residential developers so there is also an opportunity to be involved in this type of work, either full time or alongside QS workload.

Title :Senior Surveyor

Salary : £55,000 to £70,000 depending on experience

Holidays : 25 days holiday

Job Description : Full pre and post contract sevrices on a variety of projects, mainly in and around London. You will be responsible for all aspects of delivery and be expected to take ownership of the delivery of the project.

Ability to work unsupervised

Thorough knowledge of cost planning & NRM

Ability to meet deadlines.

Able to form lasting relationships with Clients and design team members

Private sector experience

Desired but not essential: Experience of CATO and Ambition to achieve Director level and participate in the further future development of the practice.
