This is a Land / Estates Manager role where you will carry out a full range of rural management activities. This is a rural surveying role for an organisation which sits within the Third Sector and so you will really be making a difference to the Scottish landscape and inhabitants.

The role is c15-20% land agency (including acquisitions of various land areas and at times estates and farms) and the remainder will be estates management (but not day to day management and so you will not be on call!) and project management (whereby you will work closely with a team and this can include multi-million pound projects developing buildings, country parks, etc). Therefore, this is a varied and interesting role which will inspire passion and offer a ‘feel-good factor’.

Covering the East of Scotland – you will have the opportunity to visit beautiful locations, including the Orkney and Shetland Islands – with the Head Office based in Edinburgh.

You will work as part of a successful, dynamic and friendly team, which is responsible for all land and property acquisitions and disposals; providing professional advice and leading on negotiations to implement the corporate acquisition and disposal programme and ensure corporate objectives are achieved.

Candidates will be MRICS or CAAV and have experience of acquisition/disposal and estate management work in the rural environment and candidates from a rural or farming background who have and interest in conservation and knowledge of Scottish Law are encouraged to apply.
