Planner / Senior Planner – Midlands

A local reputable planning consultancy has retained Beach Baker in their search for a Planner / Senior Planner for their Midlands office, as part of their structured growth strategy due to an increase in work.

We are looking for someone who has either recently qualified MRTPI or is a licentiate member on the cusp of submitting their log book. Most importantly we are looking for people with good commercial acumen, so ideally candidates will have come from another private consultancy, although we will consider those from a local authority or developer background at the same level.

You will be working across a mix of projects including residential mixed-use and minerals and waste, with the latter being the lion’s share of the work. You will also be working alongside the directors of the team, where you will get to meet clients on site and begin to develop your contact base and eventually take ownership of projects. Your duties will include public consultation, preparing and submitting applications, and site promotion works.

With a really established team and client base you will get the opportunity to take on a wealth of experience and work closely on some major projects within the UK.
