Planner/Senior Planner (Kent)

A great opportunity has arisen for a town planner to join an expanding consultancy in Kent. This firm have been operating in the Kent area for years and have an excellent reputation in the industry. You will be joining an established team of 4 town planners which is part of a larger national planning ream.

The office has a friendly and supportive working environment and offers an impressive client list and strong pipeline of regular work to get stuck in to. We are looking for town planners that are ideally MRTPI qualified but there is full RTPI support available for those that are working towards it. The successful candidate will be operating at either Planner or Senior Planner level so we’re anticipating at least 12-18 months experience gained either from another consultancy environment or from a local authority. Development Management experience would be the best fit but we can also consider those with policy backgrounds as the firm do offer this kind of work as well (application work will still form part of your workload). In terms of projects, there is a good variety on offer. Most of the firms work is residential led but there is a good range within that for example; small scale schemes for single/multiple dwellings right up to large scale urban extensions and work for regional and national housebuilders. They also get involved with strategic site promotion work and work within the care home sector.
