Planner / Senior Planner – Birmingham

One of the UK’s leading property consultancies has instructed Beach Baker to search for a Planner or Senior Planner to join their established team in Birmingham.

To be successful in your application you must be MRTPI qualified or working your way to completing your APC ideally on the cusp of completion. You will also need to have a strong understanding and knowledge of local planning policies and a commercial mind-set for the role. With an enviable book of clients this reputable firm works with some of the UK’s most prestigious housebuilders and commercial developers, property companies and landowners. You will be working across a wide variety of projects including residential, mixed use, local authority, commercial and leisure.

As an organisation this firm promotes personal and professional development encouraging all members of the team to engage in networking events to expand their contact base as well as giving people the ability to eventually run their own projects. You will also be given the chance to take on as much work as you feel you are able so as to allow you to develop your career at a pace defined by you. On top of this you will also have the chance to eventually take on projects of your own and build up your client exposure even further.

With a wide variety of projects including residential, mixed-use, retail and local authority developments, experience working in these areas would be of great benefit, ideally within a consultancy environment. We will consider looking at those with a client-side or development management background at a similar level as long as they have a commercial mind-set. Relocators are also an option should they be able to show good knowledge and understanding of the area and its policies as well as a commitment to the move.
