Junior Building Surveyor – York – Rural

Beach Baker is instructed by a leading property consultancy to recruit a Rural Building Surveyor at Graduate or Assistant level to be based in York. The role represents a super opportunity for a confident but considered surveyor to work in a close knit team who will develop your skills and support you to become chartered.

Primarily a rural sector role initially, (Church, Crown, Education, Private Estates) duties will encompass a full range of professional services to include; contract administration and project management, preparing scheme designs and specifications, project monitoring, advising on CDM regulations and preparing schedules of dilapidations. The role will allow the successful candidate to develop skills to network in the local area and as such this is a genuine career development role to grow within the existing team.

Naturally, you should have a genuine interest in and knowledge of traditional construction and rural life working with heritage sector listed buildings. The positon will require getting your wellies dirty, as well as producing detailed specifications having secured instructions.
