MCS Group completes car supermarket construction

Leading national construction contractor MCS Group has completed a major new used car supermarket in the South West.

The Midlands-based company has reached practical completion on the Carshop dealership at Horizon38 in Filton, Gloucester Road North, Bristol, which is bringing new jobs and investment to the region.

MCS Group was awarded the £5 million construction contract by major national motor dealership chain Sytner Group to deliver a 35,000 sq ft used car retail unit for Carshop, the first new-build for the brand in the South West.

The new car supermarket sits in a 7.9-acre site and includes a used car showroom, workshop, valet area, office space, and parking. It is expected to open for business 1stDecember 2019.

“It is fantastic to add Carshop, Bristol, to the growing list of high quality projects we have completed. It was a great project to be involved with and we enjoyed working in partnership with Sytner Group on this new dealership.”

MCS Group has built and refurbished more than 300 car dealershipssince its inception in 2003. The Warwick-based company has worked on a string of high-profile projects for the likes of Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Porsche, Mclaren and Jaguar Land Rover.

The ambitious constructor has enjoyed a period of sustained growth in delivering projects across the motor retail, industrial, storage and distribution sectors and has set itself a target of increasing profits and raising turnover to around £200 million by 2020.
