Welsh fabricator to transform Exeter’s former coach station into student accommodation

Welsh aluminium fabricator, Dudley’s Aluminium, has begun work on new student accommodation in Exeter. The project will redevelop the city’s former bus and coach station into state-of-the-art accommodation and will open in the summer of 2019.

Dudley’s Aluminium is currently working on a similar project in Exeter for Global Student Accommodation. Past projects for the Welsh fabricator include the development of Cardiff’s £4million Central Square.

Dudley’s secured the half a million pounds contract with Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd. The aluminium fabricator will install high-quality Kawneer curtain walling and doors, the modern student accommodation facility will also receive solar shading

Speaking about the new project, Colin Shorney, Managing Director of Dudley’s said: “We are thrilled to be working on this project with Sir Robert McAlpine. The new student accommodation will see high-quality facilities, including 25,000 sq. ft of shops, restaurants and bars.
