Black Cat opens southern office in Bristol

The independent building consultancy business launched in 2015 by three former CBRE colleagues has this month opened a second office to support new and existing clients across the South of England.

Black Cat now have 13 staff members and are engaged across the UK working on over £100 million active project management instructions, specialist due diligence acquisition advice and dilapidations advice.

Oliver Folkes, former director and head of CBRE’s South West Building Consultancy has joined Black Cat to run the office and oversee further expansion from their Great George Street office. Oliver commented “joining Black Cat represents a unique opportunity to continue to build on the work that the team in Manchester have started so well. Black Cat is a truly independent, dynamic and very experienced practice and I look forward to using my 20 years’ experience at large multi-disciplinary property consultancies to provide well rounded commercial advice to our clients”

Ben Golby, who founded the business with colleagues Stephen Barnes and James Dyson said “we are delighted that Oliver has joined at this exciting time for us. A southern office represents the opportunity to be more efficient, react even faster and provide a growing number of clients with that personal service that they require to support their business activities.

The support and feedback from our clients has given us the platform and confidence to grow our offering and capability to appeal to a wider market. Our refreshingly proactive approach and can-do attitude to building surveying serviced by senior experienced surveyors is the foundation of our business and we are excited by the opportunity to increase our market share”.
