Dynamic Pulsin snaps up final unit at Mill Place, Gloucester

Award-winning food manufacturer Pulsin has leased a new warehouse in Gloucester, owned by developer Robert Hitchins Ltd, as it continues to enjoy rapid growth.

Pulsin, founded by three university friends just 10 years ago, has been an extraordinary success story. The dynamic trio specialise in producing healthy snacks, natural protein bars and protein powders.

Nick Bildner, Ben Lewis and Simon Ashburner began by making healthy snacks in Nick’s mum’s kitchen in 2006 and selling them door to door.

Sales rocketed. They moved to Gloucester (their production unit is at Waterwells, Quedgeley), were selling 1 million bars by 2012 and 5 million by 2015. They employ more than 40 staff.

Pulsin’s new three-year lease on a 6,393 sq ft warehouse (Unit B3) at Mill Place, Bristol Road is part of their continuing expansion and is used for storage and distribution.

Warehouse Manager Mike Woakes said: “We are forever expanding. The unit at Mill Place suits us well because it’s got good access for delivery trucks and plenty of space for storage.”

Asset Manager for Robert Hitchins Ltd, Karen Vaughan-Edwards, welcomed Pulsin to Mill Place. “We’re pleased to be supporting such a get-up-and-go company in their rapid rise to success,” she said.

Unit 3B was the last vacant unit at Mill Place. Other tenants include Gloucester Carpet Outlet and Reuse a Book.

The agent was Robert Smith at Bruton Knowles.
