Descartes Impatex plan for future with relocation to larger offices in Totton

Descartes Impatex, the leading supplier of customs and freight forwarding software in the United Kingdom have relocated to Salisbury House, 27 Salisbury Road, Totton where they have signed a 3 year lease, after being acquired by Descartes Systems Group Inc.  The 3,400 sq ft quality office suite on the edge of the New Forest, near Southampton, is owned by Worcestershire-based Barberry Developments and was being marketed by Keygrove Chartered Surveyors.

Barberry Director Alex Watson said: “The self-contained office suite is well fitted, benefits from air conditioning and is located in Totton’s district centre within a retail parade that includes Lloyds Pharmacy, a Post Office and a number of estate agencies. The property is also close to Totton College, one of the larger educational establishments in the Southampton area.”

Southampton-based Keygrove Chartered Surveyors acted on behalf of Barberry Developments for the letting.

John Main of Descartes Systems UK said: “Descartes is a leading UK-based provider of electronic customs filing solutions. We provide customers with a full suite of customs filings solutions for the UK market and freight forwarding technology solutions in the UK and the US.  We chose the office suite at Salisbury Road because it has been modernised to a high standard, the landlord was able to meet our need to move at short notice and it will accommodate our plans for growth in the UK.”
