North Midland Construction named as finalists in DNCC Awards

Leading civil engineering and specialist contractors North Midland Construction PLC (NMC) are celebrating after being named as finalists in this year’s Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

The Huthwaite based firm are finalists in the Commitment to People Development category which recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in the promotion and implementation of a learning and development culture.

Entrants to this category must be able to communicate how this culture has contributed to the business achieving outstanding success.

The Chamber of Commerce Business Awards aim to recognise, reward and celebrate business excellence across the counties of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

The awards are open to all businesses based in the two counties and give the winners and finalists a true hallmark of genuine quality.

“Reaching the finals of such a prestigious award is a wonderful feeling,” said Karen Morris, Head of HR Business Partnering at NMC.  “It’s fantastic to be recognised for the work we do with the NMC Academy and the development culture within our company.”

The results are to be announced at an awards ceremony on the 26th September at the Belfry Hotel in Nottingham.
