International accreditation for Sheffield logistics firm

A leading logistics and haulage company in Sheffield has been awarded an international accreditation for delivering customer excellence.

DBL Logistics on Tinsley Park Road has received the ISO: 9001 certificate after demonstrating the company’s successful management system and practices.

It will now allow DBL Logistics to increase revenue, improve business relationships, enhance efficiency, reduce costs and grow customer satisfaction.

David Clarkson, managing director of DBL Logistics, said: “We are pleased to secure the ISO: 9001 certificate, especially as it is a customer driven accreditation. It shows that our procedures and systems are as good as they can be.

“Also, the certification will now enable us to target more major businesses and tenders which require this standard to be in place from all potential partners.”

DBL Logistics warehouses and distributes more than 120,000 pallets of goods across South Yorkshire each year.

The family run company, which is a founding member of the United Pallet Network (UPN), was assessed by QMS International, an accredited provider for ISO Certification.

Earlier this year DBL Logistics won Sales Depot of the Year and Depots’ Depot of the Year at the UPN annual member awards in Warwickshire.

It was also awarded Platinum Depot member status with UPN after securing the Gold Depot award for three consecutive years. The standard is given to members who have shown high levels of delivery, customer service, investment and administration on a consistent basis.
