Shropshire will writing specialist re-elected to industry society for Shropshire, Staffordshire and Mid Wales

The boss of a Shropshire will writing service has been re-elected to a professional body regulating the industry for a third time.

Terry Le Long said he was ‘delighted’ to be able to continue the good work of the Society of Will Writers for Shropshire, Staffordshire and Mid Wales.

The director of Telford-based NLS Shropshire Will & Trust Services Ltd, based at Stafford Park, will now hold the post for another three years.

He said: “I have really enjoyed my last six years as chairman and have felt honoured to be able to guide the regional branch through that time for the benefit of its members and the public.

“When I was re-elected to the post I did not hesitate to accept the role and am delighted to be able to serve a third term.”

Mr Le Long said: “The Society of Will Writers is a self regulated, non-profit making body which plays an important part in protecting the interests of the public as well as the professionals working in this field.

“All its members are will writing specialists rather than other types of professionals who offer will writing as an additional service, such as solicitors and financial advisors”

Mr Le Long, whose business is based at Trevithick House on Stafford Park 4, has a wealth of experience as a specialised will writer and a company built on recommendation and quality of service.

He said: “The Society of Will Writers members adhere to a code of conduct and provides an essential service and aims to educate people that making a will is extremely important.

“Its role is also to ensure that its members are properly trained, professional and indemnified.

“People who belong to the society have proved their ability as will writers. What is also important is that members are all willing to uphold the highest professional standards as they adhere to the body’s Code of Practice.

“Members of the public can be reassured that if they use a will writer who is a society member that they are competent and that they have recourse if they need to make a complaint.”

Through the Society of Will Writers members can also take advantage of education courses and continued professional development.
