MIB Framespace, part of the MIB Group with offices in Cardiff and Cheshire have secured an order for the installation of their structural insulated panel(known as MetSIP) from Midlands based construction company Bowmer & Kirkland.
The residential apartment scheme at Collent Street Hackney is worth £163k of infill panels forming the outer envelope of the building. The design and manufacture of the panels will take place at the MIB Framespace factory in Blaina which has 30 mainly local employees.
The scheme has strict timescales and the MIB Panel has the benefit of installation times at a fraction of traditional methods.
MIB’s Operations Manager,Dean Bennett said, “We gave a presentation last Summer to the B&K people and this is one of a number of projects for which we have been asked to tender”.
