Rokit Vintage takes space in Cardiff’s Queen Street

International real estate advisor Savills and joint agent Calan Retail, on behalf of Mahavir Properties, has agreed terms with Rokit, the vintage and designer clothing retailer, to take Unit 4, 11-25 Queen Street, Cardiff.

Rokit has acquired the ground, first and second floor accommodation, spanning 8104 sq ft for a term of five years at £100,000 pax.

Founded by brothers Jeremey and Anthony Shackleton, Rokit started life in Camden’s market originally trading denim sourced in the USA. It has since expanded with four stores in Camden, Shoreditch and Covent Garden, its flagship store the largest vintage store in Central London.

Queen Street is one of the most popular retail destinations within Cardiff, with a host of retailers, including Next, Marks and Spencer, Flannels, and Boots, and great links in to the St Davids Centre.

Matthew Brown, Director in the National Retail Team, comments: “The appetite for vintage clothing is clear and we are thrilled to welcome Rokit’s first store outside London to Cardiff. Rokit is a great addition to the high street as consumer demand grows for sustainable vintage and reworked clothing.”

Andrew Smallman at Arc Retail acted for Rokit.
