The property has been acquired by stainless steel recycling company ELG Haniel Metals Ltd for an undisclosed sum. The premises on Hawke Street in the lower Don Valley in Sheffield provides a unique manufacturing and industrial premises of circa 34,500 sq ft and comprises an eaves height of 11 metres and craneage capable of lifting up to 50 tonnes.
Paul Mack, Associate Director at DTZ in Leeds commented: “The property on Hawke Street offered an extremely rare and modern manufacturing / industrial building in South Yorkshire. Understandably commercial developers do not construct premises with this sort of specification and properties of this nature do not come to the market very often. We were therefore very confident that the property would attract strong interest and we are delighted to sell the property at a substantial figure for our client.”
