Success at The Sidings

Acting for Eastleigh Borough Council, Goadsby are delighted to report their recent success at The Sidings in Netley Abbey, Southampton.

The Sidings consists of a mix of one and two storey buildings designed for industrial and small business use. They can be let on a monthly basis, which makes them particularly attractive to the owners of small or growing businesses who are looking for their first premises or who do not want to be locked in to a long-term lease.

Since May 2012, five units have been let to a variety of businesses including a florist, a cleaning firm, a building contractor and a gluten free food supplier. This demonstrates the popularity of the range of unit sizes.

Ben Welch of Goadsby Southampton comments, “It is great news to see The Sidings fully let for the first time since the recession hit. The Council’s flexibility in offering terms that benefit both the landlord and the tenant has made The Sidings very attractive to businesses.”

Cabinet Member for Business & Skills Councilor, Peter Wall comments, “Eastleigh Borough Council is committed to helping businesses to start up and grow, so that everyone in the Borough can benefit from the prosperity they create. The Sidings is just one part of a comprehensive range of support that the council offers to small businesses and I’m delighted to see that all the units are fully occupied.”
