British Land has announced that Korean beauty specialist, PURESEOUL, has signed for a new store at SouthGate Bath, a first for the brand in the South West. The leading retail-led destination in the city is asset, development, and property managed by British Land, as part of a JV with Aviva Investors.
PURESEOUL will bring its popular K-Beauty concept to Bath, showcasing a curated selection of Korean skincare and cosmetics brands that have built global followings, including Torriden, Sungboon Editor, Milktouch, and Medicube. Alongside its extensive product range, the store will host expert-led workshops and offer personalised guidance on Korean skincare routines, creating an engaging, discovery-led retail experience for customers.
The signing reflects British Land’s continued investment in enhancing SouthGate’s appeal as the prime centre in Bath, and a leading South West retail destination. The beauty category is set to grow further, with premium retailer SpaceNK also preparing to open at the scheme in the coming months, bringing a selection of globally recognised skincare, cosmetics, and fragrance brands to the line-up.
Laurence Budden, Senior Asset Manager at British Land, said: “PURESEOUL is an exciting brand that will bring something truly distinctive to Bath’s retail landscape. K-Beauty has huge momentum with UK consumers, and PURESEOUL’s highly sought-after product ranges and strong brand following make it a fantastic addition to SouthGate. With the upcoming arrival of SpaceNK, we’re continuing to evolve the destination with brands that reflect today’s customer expectations and desires, creating a complete experience unique within the region.”
Leslie Tang, CEO and Co-Founder of PURESEOUL added: “Bath is a key part of our 2026 expansion. As a globally visited city with a deep-rooted connection to wellbeing, it felt like the perfect place to bring K-beauty closer to the South West. It’s also one of the few cities where physical retail still feels genuinely exciting and brings us closer to doubling our store count this year.”
The additions of PURESEOUL and SpaceNK follow the recent debut of a major new flagship from Marks & Spencer, which opened an 83,000 sq ft store at SouthGate earlier this year.
Cushman & Wakefield is the appointed letting agent for the scheme.
