Swordfish Advertising moves office to Cargo Work, Wapping Wharf

Bristol creative agency Swordfish Advertising has found a perfect fit for its new offices at CARGO Work in Wapping Wharf.

Based in the city for nearly 25 years, the specialist healthcare agency decided it had outgrown its base and wanted to find a new home which would reflect its values and enable it to do its best work.

The company has recently moved from offices in Baldwin Street to a newly fitted out 3681 sq ft suite on the first floor of CARGO Work, which is now 90% let.

Sarah Rush, chief executive officer of Swordfish Advertising explains:

“When we started the search for a new office, we knew one thing for sure; it couldn’t be conventional. It needed to feel like us; creative, playful, quirky. That’s exactly why we’re so excited to have moved into CARGO Work.

“It sits in one of the most creative corners of Bristol; a community packed with local independent businesses. Plus, there are some truly excellent places to eat and shop right on our doorstep.

“The building itself feels like the perfect fit, reflecting the history of the docklands while embracing sustainability at every turn. We’re moving away from traditional office layouts and into something purpose-built – a space where creativity thrives, collaboration is easy and our team can truly reimagine healthcare.”

The 20,000 sq ft award-winning contemporary office building CARGO Work at Wapping Wharf is tucked behind the former Bristol Gaol walls, close to Bristol Harbourside. The building’s unique design features cut-down shipping containers to reflect its dockside heritage.

Stuart Hatton, managing director of Umberslade, owners and developers of Wapping Wharf says:

“It’s fantastic to welcome Swordfish Advertising to CARGO Work and the wider community we’ve built here, and we hope their new inspiring base will enable them to go from strength to strength.”
