Town Planner – Manchester

One of the UK’s leading property consultancies has instructed Beach Baker to search for a Town Planner to join their experienced team at their offices in Manchester.

We are looking for candidates who have either just completed their MRTPI or are on the cusp of completing it. You will be working across a wide range of developments including residential, mixed-use, education and commercial projects. Experience in these areas would be ideal and will allow you to get involved straight away into the various projects they have on, you will also have experience working on a number of developments simultaneously and will feel comfortable providing comprehensive planning advice to clients.

You will be a part of a closely knit team working with some of the Norths most prestigious clients which including governing bodies, landowners, property companies and developers, so you will need to be knowledgeable about planning policies in Manchester and across the North West in general.

The team also fosters a culture of mentoring where you will be working closely with the directors and associates who will provide guidance and advice should you need it.

Experience within a private practice consultancy environment will put you in the best possible position for the role as well as experience across a wide range of developments. We will consider looking at those with a client-side or development management background at a similar level as long as they have a commercial mind-set. Relocators are also an option should they be able to show good knowledge and understanding of the area and its policies as well as a commitment to the move.
