Town Planner (Kent)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a town planner to join an expanding consultancy in Kent. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, working with an established client base of both public and private sector clients. The office has a modern, open-plan layout and has parking available for staff. It is well located for commuters from South London as well as the majority of Kent.

The project work is very interesting and will involve medium – large scale residential and mixed-use schemes as well as strategic advice and LDF/Site promotion work. At this level you should be able to demonstrate a good grounding in development management work, be confident in client facing situations as well as managing small scale projects independently whilst supporting on larger schemes. You will ideally have some residential project experience and have a good working knowledge of the South East as well as local policies.

You will ideally be either MRTPI qualified or be working towards it with a post graduate RTPI accredited degree. Full RTPI support is on offer if required. We can consider candidates with public and private sector experience but you should have at least 12 months’ experience in a UK based, pure planning role.
