Senior Planner – Leeds

A leading national Planning consultancy has approached Beach Baker in regards to Senior Planner / Associate level candidate for their offices in Leeds.

We are looking for a fully MRTPI qualified individual who are on the cusp of becoming an Associate and operating at Principal level, and who has the right project experience. Working with an enviable book of clients this reputable firm partners with some of the UK’s most prestigious housebuilders, commercial developers, property companies and landowners. There is a focus primarily on Commercial, Residential, and mixed use schemes which includes large scale application works coupled with strategic work and smaller schemes.

A great believer in personal development this consultancy has a culture of promoting internally, they are keen to develop and mentor suitable individuals. The ability to bring across clients would be a bonus, but not a requirement as the team are currently very busy with a large pipeline of work. However, you must be able to build and develop client relations as well as enjoy aspects of networking.

An excellent understanding of local planning policies in the Yorkshire area and experience working on a variety of complex schemes will be needed, ideally attained in a consultancy environment. We will consider looking at those with a client-side or development management background at a similar level as long as they have a commercial mind-set. Re-locators are also an option should they be able to show good knowledge and understanding of the area and its policies as well as a commitment to the move.
