Senior Planner – Leeds

One of Leeds leading pure planning consultancies has exclusively retained Beach Baker in the search for a talented Senior Planner to join their team.

We are looking for candidates who are 2-3 years post their MRTPI qualification and have experience working on multiple complex developments. With a broad spectrum of clients this consultancy works with some of the prominent developers, landowners and property companies, with an enviable book of projects to work on. This particular team is involved across a range of developments including residential, mixed use, commercial and retail, that involve large scale application works coupled with strategic work and smaller schemes.

A great believer in personal development this consultancy has a culture of promoting internally, with the majority of its directors having originally been Planners or Senior Planners upon originally starting. They actively encourage client exposure as well as encourage candidates to expand and develop their network of contacts in order to progress their careers forward.

An excellent understanding of planning policies in the Yorkshire area will be required as well as experience working on a variety of different schemes will be needed, ideally built up in a consultancy environment. We will consider looking at those with a client-side or development management background at a similar level as long as they have a commercial mind-set. Relocators are also an option should they be able to show good knowledge and understanding of the area and its policies as well as a commitment to the move.
