Senior or Associate Town Planner (Birmingham)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planner or Associate to join one of the leading consultancies in Birmingham. You will be joining a very established team of 12 planners part of a larger multi-disciplinary office based in the city centre. This is an excellent time to join the team with the company heavily invested in their growth and a marked business plan for this over the next 12 months. They are a well-known brand nationally for all their disciplines and have a very strong reputation in planning.

Due to this role being part of an invested expansion plan, we can be flexible on level. The position would suit a strong Senior/Principal Planner or an Associate/Associate Director who has experience of the Midlands market. The team are working with an impressive client base, predominantly across the residential and mixed-use field but also do work in other areas and are open to expanding into new disciplines (so also welcome applications from candidates who have specialist expertise and want to work for one of the leading firms in planning). Clients include respected housebuilders, large land owners, blue-chip developers, institutional bodies and public sector organisations. Projects range in scale but are typically medium-large scale including strategic work.

Candidates should be MRTPI qualified and ideally be coming with some private sector experience (preferably from their current role but we may be flexible on this). You should have good contacts in the Midlands market and enjoy business development activity including attending networking events from time to time. You should be comfortably managing small-medium scale projects and be either assisting with larger schemes or be have experience in running them for the Associate level.
