REGIONAL ESTATES MANAGER KENT
Salary c £33,500 + car + pension 25 Days Holiday + 8 Statutory Days+ 35 hour working week + flexibility in hours
This charitable organisation has a large residential portfolio and is seeking to recruit a Regional Estates Manager whose primary responsibility will be the acquisition, disposal and associated property tasks for this predominantly residential property portfolio, and some retail outlets, with the prime focus on identifying, viewing and inspecting properties for acquisition.
You will further be involved in a range of support tasks to ensure the suitability and ongoing use of the properties, which will include liaising with maintenance; managing party wall disputes and rights of way; etc across this large portfolio.
With strong interpersonal and communication skills you will work with and on the behalf of the tenants. You will further work with other team members and be responsible for ensuring the properties are suitable for purchase/inhabitancy and circa 25% of your time will be to ensure the upkeep of the properties on the behalf of the tenants through ongoing maintenance and broader property matters. You will work closely with the planned maintenance manager to assist with management of reactive and planned maintenance on a wide variety of property types but especially residential.
You will liaise with a range of internal and external contacts to undertake a number of tasks from negotiating purchase price; advising surveyors; advising building surveyors and solicitors.
