My client is one of the leading specialist surveying firms currently recruiting a 1 to 5 year PQE surveyor for their London team. The successful candidate must have a desire to work in Business Rates and have experience providing a comprehensive business rates service to a diverse range of clients.
The position is within the Statutory Valuation team being involved in various sectors across the Industry. Our client has over 25 years’ experience in this specialist property sector and their values play an important part of building their identity. Job Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on procedure and policy, and giving expert advice on whether to appeal an assessment.
- Negotiating reductions in rateable value on properties across London and across the UK.
- Securing void rate relief and other exemptions in line with certain legislative changes.
- Providing expert advice on all types of property such as Offices, Retail, Energy and Infrastructure, Industry and Warehousing etc.
- Providing a comprehensive Business Rates service to a wide range of clients, with the aim of reducing their client’s rates liabilities.
The successful candidate will be RICS Qualified with at least 1 year PQE. Relevant experience in Rating is essential along with specific knowledge of the Business Rates appeals process.
