Our client is a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy based in Surrey that are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the business and effectively establish and grow the cost management / QS function.
Our client do not currently offer QS as a service but due to high demand from clients are now looking to add this discipline. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate or senior surveyor to step up and head up a department.
Our client tends to focus on the private sector across commercial office, retail, residential, hotels and leisure sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants autonomy to grow their own business unit for a well established firm. There is plenty of work from existing clients to begin with and the role would suit someone who would be interested in bringing in their own work in the future when the QS function / team is set up. The individual will have the opportunity to build a team around them in the future and to make key decisions about how to set up, grow and manage the team. The individual would report directly to the founding partner.
This would be an interesting move away from a corporate environment in London and may suit someone who wants to be closer to home in Surrey rather than commuting into London.
