Planner / Senior Planner – East Midlands

Beach Baker are pleased to announced that we have been instructed by an established property consultancy to find a talented Planner or Senior Planner to join their closely knit team based in the East Midlands.

We are ideally looking for an MRTPI qualified candidate with a couple of years of experience under their belt. We will consider those who have not completed their APC as long as they are either on the cusp of completing it or are looking to compete it in the immediate future. Candidates looking to apply will also have experience working on a number of developments simultaneously and will feel comfortable providing comprehensive planning advice to clients.

As part of a closely knit team you will be actively involved in a variety of different developments ranging from large scale residential, commercial, leisure, and mixed use schemes. You will be working closely with some of the Midlands most prestigious clients including large corporate organisations, landowners, developers and property companies.

This organisation looks to develop their teams according to the personal requirements of each member, giving them the opportunity and tools to progress their career in the direction they want. This is part of their culture of personal development with the majority of their associates and directors having started as Planners or Senior Planners.

An excellent understanding of local planning policies in the East Midlands will be needed, and ideally experience working on a wide spectrum of developments in a consultancy environment. We will consider looking at those with a client-side or development management background at a similar level as long as they have a commercial mind-set. Relocators are also an option should they be able to show good knowledge and understanding of the area and its policies as well as a commitment to the move.
