Mortgage Broker/Adviser

Beach Baker has received instruction on behalf of an award winning residential property agency to source for a Mortgage Advisor/Broker who has whole of market experience to cover several locations of the business.

As a qualified Adviser/Broker with face to face customer experience, you will provide customers with advice on all aspects of Residential mortgages and the associated protection products, including Life, Critical Illness, ASU, Mortgage Payment Protection, IPP and Buildings and Contents. Further to this the successful candidate will also be responsible for generating sales and rewarded with a generous salary and commission structure.

Primary responsibilities:

• Using effective questioning skills to establish customer needs, recommend suitable mortgage products and services as part of a full advice and recommendation service delivered preferably face to face, or if needed over the phone.
• To be the primary contact until the customer’s file is handed to the Mortgage Administrator.
• The Mortgage & Protection Adviser will ensure that all advice is given on the basis of a full and detailed fact find which complies with its regulator’s requirements and in line with company values.
• During the fact find process gather sufficient information to establish the customer’s needs for protection requirements, and where appropriate, referrals to in-house Advisers or third parties working to meet the customer’s needs.

Additional responsibilities:

• Using the back office system in order to log clear audit trails and check daily.
• Using bespoke mortgage and protection systems that are relevant to providers.
• Ensure applications are collated in a working order file that can be checked for compliance.
• To ensure that all paperwork meets the compliance requirements.
• The Mortgage & Protection Adviser will submit files for compliance check in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and target driven, fully CeMAP, MAQ or CF1 and CF6 qualified broker/ adviser to competent standard with knowledge of both the mortgage and protection markets. The position requires a self-starter with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role which will enable you to ‘hit the ground running’ with little or no supervision.
